NSPCC Assemblies + Workshop

The team from the NSPCC will be in school on Monday 20th January to run some educational assemblies called 'Speak Out, Stay Safe.'  There will be a Key Stage 1 assembly for the younger children with a mascot called Buddy and some activities looking at bullying and hurting others' feelings, ending with the understanding that we all have the right to 'Speak out and stay safe.'

Children in Key Stage 2 will have a more age-appropriate assembly looking at a 'Sack of Worries' - designed to help children understand the different kinds of ill treatment that can take place.

Finally, our older children in Years 5 and 6 will then take part in a workshop on looking at this topic in more details and will learn about Childline and how to get in touch if they have any concerns.
