Number Day 2021

We are delighted to be supporting the NSPCC by taking part in their Number Day on Friday 7th May 2021.   Number Day is a great way to make maths fun and bring about a positive, ‘can-do’ attitude towards it.

We will be taking part in Dress up for Digits and pupils will be invited to wear at least one item of clothing with a number on it (football shirt, cap, netball shirt or even a onesie!).  It would be great to see children getting creative with a full Maths related outfit – think numbers, shapes, clocks or stopwatches, dice, playing cards, Rubiks Cube, ruler, dates, Roman Numerals, calculator or whatever else you can dream up!  To help raise money for the NSPCC, we are asking for a suggested donation of £2, and we’d love everyone in the school to take part in this special event.

Larks had an amazing Number Day...the children and Mrs Coe and Mrs Masson thoroughly enjoyed all theiractivities including the Buddy Challenge and the Flower Garden challenge using numicon! Huge congratulations to Richie who won the 'best outfit' prize!
Swans Class thoroughly enjoyed Number Day and the challenges they were set.
Owls Class were thrilled to participate in Number Day and raise funds for the NSPCC at the same time.
Robins Class loved taking part in Number Day 2021!  We especially enjoyed Buddy’s Key Challenge solving a range of mathematical questions to unlock the door for Buddy as well as taking part in a variety of number games.  Well done to Daisy for achieving the ‘best dressed’ competition, she wore an  amazing ‘Sudoku’ costume which the children enjoyed solving during our investigative games afternoon.  A fun day was had by all!
