Swans have been finding out about all things Space and showed off some amazing knowledge and craft skills last week with their models of the planets in our Solar System. This was a Home Learning project and the range of skills, ideas and creativity on show, not to mention the number of hours put in, was mind-blowing.
They turned the classroom into an Interplanetary Wonderland and invited the rest of the school to come and check out their models. The variety of materials used included cake, wood, polystyrene, papier mache, biscuits, cardboard and pom-poms, and many were lit in all sorts of imaginative ways! The children also impressed with the way they explained their work to the younger children, described how they had made them and spread their enthusiasm for the learning they have enjoyed.
