Owls West Stow Visit

Year 4 (Owls) found out about life in Anglo Saxon times during their visit to West Stow.  They visited the different homes on the site, learned about the way people used natural materials - wood from the forest for homes and furniture, plants for food and medicine and wool and animal skins for clothes and warmth.  They were particularly impressed with the wolf skin found in one of the homes, the open fire inside and the weaving looms to make cloth.  The actual experience of being in the homes brought history alive and learning about the period all the more fun.
