Performance Data and Results 2016 

  • 76% of last year’s Reception pupils reached the government’s expected ‘Good Level of Development’, which is above the national average of 69%.
  • Year 1 pupils completed the government's Phonics Screening Check in June, and 78% achieved the expected level - the national average of 81%.
  • In Year 2, 83% of the pupils who did not achieve the expected level in Year 1 phonics managed to achieve it in 2016, the national average 91%.
  • In Year 2, there were new tests and teacher assessments, as this was the first year of the new National Curriculum at the end of Key Stage 1.
    • 65% of pupils achieved the expected standard in reading (national average = 74%)
    • 8% of pupils were working at greater depth in reading (national average = 24%)
    • 54% of pupils achieved the expected standard in writing (national average = 66%)
    • 54% of pupils achieved the expected standard in maths (national average = 73%)
  •        There is no end of KS2 data for Year 6 in 2016.
  •        First Year 6 data expected in Summer 2017
